Conyer Cruising Club held an Impromptu supper in the clubhouse, on Friday evening 13/04/12, which was put together at very short notice. Members were invited by email but, due to the initial invitation getting lost in the ether, the notice
given was much shorter than originally intended. Rear Commodore (Social) Julia Armitage said “it was a very good turn out considering the late notice given and I am hoping to run a similar event every month or so.” Julia Armitage and Juanita Biddle both gave up their time on Thursday evening to cook the Chilli Beef and Friday evening to serve generous portions of the Chilli and French bread that was on offer in the clubhouse. from 1930 hrs. Despite the initial set back the event was well attended and there was nothng left at the end of the evening. If you are interested in seeing more of these types of events or have any other ideas please feel free to add to the blog or email Rear Commodore (Social) Julia Armitage direct at [email protected].
