Cruising

Conyer Cruising Club majors on promoting cruises which tend not to be over-organised but aim to bring members together in marinas and anchorages in Kent, Essex and Suffolk. As many club members are regular cross channel seafarers, France, Belgium and Holland remain popular alternative holiday venues. We aim to have at least one fortnight cruise a year, as well as numerous weekend cruises.

Racing

Conyer Cruising Club runs a series of points races through the season held for approximately one hour around high tide. The results are aggregated to determine the winner at the end of the season. The emphasis is on enjoying our boats and companionship but that is not to say that competition is not keen!

A few day races are also held during the year often associated with the cruising programme.

The club also has a high profile in the organisation of the annual Swale Regatta which takes place over three days. One race is held each day with different clubs hosting the evening entertainments. Boats from Hollowshore Cruising Club, Queenborough Yacht Club, Whitstable Yacht Club, Whitstable Cruising Club, and, of course, ourselves. It is not uncommon to have 40 boats in one of the Swale Regatta races.
